We discuss our fav bits of nerd news: Fantastic Four stills from the movie, Spawn toys were stolen, The Minecraft movie is killing it in the box office, Cleveland is turning into the “Metropolis Meteors” for a game this season, new character portraits from the live-action “How to Train Your Dragon” movie, there’s also a new Dragon land at Epic in Universal Orlando, Pops has been laughing at videos of Megatron roasting people, Beetlejuice 3 is in the works, Kingpin shared maybe wanting to be Swamp Thing, and it’s the 30^th anniversary of “The Goofy Movie.” For bingeing, Big Pops has been listening to Jesus Christ Superstar, watching The Chosen, The Last of Us, and The Day After Tomorrow. Sis has read 118 books so far this year. She watched more Ted Lasso, a ton of Ryan Hall Ya’ll on YouTube, and the ending of Hogwarts Legacy. No pull-list this week, but Pop’s is very excited about new Fantastic Four comics coming down the pipeline to do with the new movie. And last but not least, we review the VeggieTales movie “Jonah”

For bingeing, Big Pops has been listening to Jesus Christ Superstar, watching the Chosen, Station 11, and The Last of Us. Sis has read 105 books so far this year. She watched more March Madness, Severance, and Ted Lasso. Then, Pops shared his pull list! This week he introduces us to Batman Issue 158 by DC; Fantastic Four Issue 30 by Marvel; and Adventure Man: Family Tree Issue 1 by Image. His new number 1 is We’re Taking Everyone Down with Us by Image. His Book of the Week is Absolute Martian Manhunter Issue 1 by DC. And last but not least, in honor of episode 111, we review the Dreamworks Movie “The Wild Robot”.

We discuss our fav bits of nerd news: $87,000 for a Charizard-shaped Cheeto, Trailer for the Materialists by A24, a new Star Trek show, “Star Fleet Academy,” a Mr. Potato Head Beholder mini-fig, A Sponge Bob Head, Max took off Looney Toons, Lego Trailer for the new FF movie, DC and Marvel are coming together for a Cross-Over event, the Lilo and Stitch Trailer, Happy Gilmore 2 teaser, and a Tiger Woods movie is being produced by the Obamas. For bingeing, Big Pops watched Riders of the Rohirrim, the Chosen, Star Trek Brave New World, and the Allen Moore Omnibus of Original Work. Sis has read 94 books so far this year. She watched Despicable Me 4 and the Hunchback of Notre Dame. Then, Pops shared his pull list! This week he introduces us to Action Comics Issue 1084 and Batman Dark Patterns Issue 4 by DC; Nick Fury Vs Fin Fang Foom one shot by Marvel; and Hyde Street Issue 4 by Image. His new number 1 is Assorted Crisis Events by Image. His Book of the Week is The Ultimate’s Issue 10 by Marvel. And last but not least, in honor of episode 111, we review all things Lord of the Rings.

Episode 110: Best Worst Movie, Concept Art Galore, and Celebrity Comic Con

Stuff.  We discuss our fav bits of nerd news: the OG Star Wars movies are available to stream, The Electric State on Netflix, Vin Deisel voicing the Fifth Element, Madame Webb won the best worst movie in 2024, Fantastic Four concept art shows a female Silver Surfer,  Avengers Doomsday concept art, Shrek 5 trailer, Bondsman out on Prime April 3, House of David trailer, and apparently Superman by James Gun is not good. For bingeing, Big Pops finally finished The Big Bang Theory. He also has enjoyed Rouge One and downloaded the comic series “The New Gods.” Sis had read 82 books so far this year, is still loving How to Train Your Dragon, and has been re-watching the Dare Devil TV-Show. Then, Pops shared his pull list! This week he introduces us to Absolute Wonder Woman issue 7 by DC; Ultimate Spiderman Issue 14 by Marvel; and Hornsby and Halo Issue 4 by Image. His new number 1 is Jump Scare by Dark Horse. His Book of the Week is Fantastic Four Issue 29 by Marvel. We then review a recent comic con the family attended and where Pops had a booth.

Episode 109: Natural Disaster Films, Silly Comic Book Adaptations, and “B” rated Movies

Join Sis and Big Pops for a fun, fun talk about one of the things we love most—Nerd Stuff.  We discuss our fav bits of nerd news: Angel Studio releasing King of Kings on April 11, Rob Pattinson is not the Batman for DCU, Jury Duty season 2, Seasonal Krypto Shorts, a Woobles LOTR kit, Sky board doing an Invincible Role-Playing game, and a new family for Alexander and the Terrible horrible No good very bad Road Trip on Disney+. For bingeing, Big Pops has been watching The Big Bang Theory, Captain America: Brave New World, You’ve Got Mail, and That Thing You Do. He has also been reading a “but ton of comics.” Sis enjoyed the last two movies in a couple trilogy series Two Towers and Return of the King and How to Train Your Dragon 2 and 3. She also has been reading a lot (go figure!). Then, Pops shared his pull list! This week he introduces us to Jenny Sparks issue 7 by DC; Aliens Vs. Avengers Issue 2 by Marvel; and Let This One be a Devil: A True Weird Story Issue 1 by Dark Horse. His new number 1 is Bug Wars by Image. His Book of the Week is One World Under Doom Issue 1 by Marvel. We then chat about and review our top 5 “B-Rated” movies.

For bingeing, Big Pops has been watching The Big Bang Theory, The Unification, The Notebook, Fall Guy, and is reading Fantastic Four comics. Sis finally finished Miracle, she also watched the Greatest Game Ever Played, Chicago, and Trevin play Hogwarts Legacy. Then, Pops shared his pull list! This week he tells us about a new book he read on Hoopla, “Ice Cream Man” issue 43 by Image. We then reviewed the Teaser trailer for the upcoming Fantastic Four movie.

We discuss our fav bits of nerd news: The cleaner Trailer, A24 coming out with a Masque of the Red Death movie, Florence Pugh has maybe Rapunzel, Ted Lasso maybe season 4, Silo has been approved for the next 2 seasons, the musical Waitress is coming to Max on Feb 14, Strange Academy show maybe on Disney+,  and a Nova tv-show on Disney+ as well! Oh, and Sis got her book! For bingeing, Big Pops has watched Big Bang Theory and Carry on and has been reading Crisis on Infinite Earth. Sis has been watching RWBY and Tarzan, as well as listening to The Empyrean Books on Audio. She has read 29 books so far this year. Then, Pops shared his pull list! This week, he introduces us to Action Comics Issue 1082 by DC; Amazing Spiderman Issue 65.deaths by Marvel; as well as The Lucky Devils Issue 1 by Image. We discuss our fav bits of nerd news: the new Daredevil trailer, sneaks of the Avatar: Fire and Ash, One-Piece season 2 new characters, Until Dawn the movie, a new Gothic horror Swamp Thing Movie, Diamond Distrubter filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and there is drama about the upcoming release of the book Onyx Storm. For bingeing, Big Pops has watched Alien  Romulus, Creature Commando, Skeleton Crew, and Big Bang Theory. He also wanted everyone to know of his prediction of Jimmy Olson turning into a Kaiju. Sis has been listening to Fourth Wing, re-watching the American Anime RWBY, and watching her Husband play Mika and the Witch Mountain, a Kickstarter-funded Switch Game. She has read 21 books so far this year. Then, Pops shared his pull list! This week he introduces us to New Gods Issue 1 by DC; Amazing Spiderman Issue 65 by Marvel; as well as Kill All Immortals Issue 5 by Dark Horse. His new number 1 is What if… Mickey and Friends became the Fantastic Four by Marvel. His Book of the Week is Geiger Issue 10 by Image. We then reviewed the trade paperback “Tales of the Unnamed: The Blizzard” by Ghost Machine, an Imprint of Image comics.

We discuss our fav bits of nerd news: 28 Years Later, what constitutes the PG-13 rating, Sony pulling all Spiderman stuff, John Cena and Eric Andre in Little Brother, Reacher Season 3 trailer, Rob Pattison was Batman not just Edward in Twilight (in case anyone forgot), casting for the Harry Potter TV-Show, and casting of “The Artist.” For bingeing, Big Pops has watched the Day of the Jackal and the new Dune TV show on Max. He is still loving reading the Jonathan Hickman rune of FF and is listening to Christmas Music. Sis has watched Christmas in Paradise, Wicked Part 1, Klaus, George C. Scott’s A Christmas Carol, and has been re-watching Harry Potter. Then, Pops shared his pull list! This week he introduces us to Superman Issue 20 by DC; Holiday Tales to Astonish, a one-shot by Marvel; as well as Hornsby and Halo Issue 1 by Image. His new number 1 is West Coast Avengers by DC. His Book of the Week is Justice League Unlimited Issue 1 by DC. We then reviewed the movie Wicked.
