Here is a new John Wick spin off movie Th ballerina slotted for June 2024, Arby’s made a dice set, one of our fav actors from the Expanse (Amos) is going to be in the StarWars tv-show the Acolyte, Pringles has made a Minecraft chip, DSTLRY is going to be a new digital platform for comics, and we’re a little worried about a writer’s strike that's posed for May 2023.We also reviewed a TON of movie trailers: The Little Mermaid, Fast X, Barbie, Spiderverse, Tolls, TMNT, the Marvels, and Muppets Mayhem.
For bingeing, Big Pops has been streaming on Twitch while he works on mosaics, check him out! He also has finally watched Champion, and is still loving The Mandolorian, Ted Lasso, and Picard. Sis has been watching Doctor Who (still) and is nearing the end of the Tennant episodes. She also is still watching Clarkson’s Farm, ad is watching Dune, LOTR, and caught Mario and D&D in the theatres. Then, Pops shares his pull list! This week he introduces us to Poison Ivy Issue 11 by DC; Moon Knight Issue 22 by Marvel; as well The Great British Bump Off Issue 1 by Dark Horse. His new number 1 is The Seasons have Teeth by Boom Studious, With his Book of the Week being TMNT & Usagi Yojimbo Issue 1 by IDW. This week we chatted all things Blue Beetle. We read the first trade that is available for free download for all prime users and we speculated about the upcoming film. YAY for the Oscars, and the four winners of the acting awards this year. There are some fun movies and shows that are coming out this year: Elemental with a potential UP themed short and Barbie. There was also some speculation about media coming out further out in the future, such as: A Harry Potter TV series on HBOMax, a new doctor, a new Fantastic Four Director, Deadpool 3 having a director, Kellog coming out with a new cereal, some sad news about the actor who played Kang the conquer. There was also some sad news regarding a man who had passed away who collected a large amount of comic books, there is going to be a documentary of how the family sells and donates most of the books he had accumulated. For bingeing, Big Pops has been watching The Mandolorian, Ted Lasso, and Picard. It’s also the beginning of a new month, so he has been able to renew books on Hoopla again, and has been enjoying re-reading “Do a Power Bomb” Sis has been watching Doctor Who (still) and is watching episodes with Donna, the Ood are right around the corner, she also has been enjoying a show called Clarkson’s Farm on Prime as well as re-watching through RWBY in preparation for the new season coming out. Then, Pops shares his pull list! This week he introduces us to Unstoppable Doom Patrol Issue 1 by DC; Invincible Ironman Issue 4 by Marvel; as well as Local Man Issue 2 by Image. His new number 1 is It’s Jeff by Marvel, he recommends checking it out if you want a cute and fun comic for the kids. With his Book of the Week being Clobberin’ Time Issue 1 by Marvel. This week we chatted all Flash. We watched and chatted about the 2013 animated film available on HBOMax, The Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox. And we speculated about the upcoming Flash film. There was also some speculation about movies further out in the future, such as: A Creed Franchise, Wicked casting Ariana Grande, Bad Boys 4, and almost all of the OG actors coming back for Daredevil Born Again. For bingeing, Big Pops has been watching The Mandalorian, Picard, and He went and watched Black Panther with a live symphony. He also has been bingeing comic books recently, he read all of Birth Right. now the new movies such as Ant Man, Jesus Revolution, and the Confession. Sis has been watching Doctor Who and is finally watching Martha’s season, as well as The Legend of Vox Mochina, and Burlesque. Then, Pops shares his pull list! This week he introduces us to Monkey Prince Issue 12 by DC; Scarlet Witch Issue 3 by Marvel; as well as Gospel Issue 5 by Image. His new number 1 is The Adventures of Superman: John Kent by DC. There are some fun movies that are coming out this year: Barbie, Mario Bros, the DnD movie, Ghosted, Meth Gator, and Flash. There’s also a lot of fun movies in the works like Detective Pikachu (pardon our lack of Pokémon knowledge), something called Meth Gator, a new Hellboy, and another Peter Pan film. We also mentioned LOTR: Return of the King returning to theatres for the 20th anniversary, Warner Bros talking with Peter Jackson about making a LOTR franchise, James Gun’s huge DC media talk, and Nick Cage being EPIC as always. Pop’s also shares his dream casting for a Fantastic Four Movie, which sounds pretty great! For bingeing, Big Pops has been enjoying the new movies such as Ant Man, Jesus Revolution, and the Confession, He’s also still really enjoying those Star Trek shows—Discovery and Picard. Sis has been watching Doctor Who starting with the 9th doctor, watching Vox Mochina, and listening to a lot of podcasts. Then, Pops shares his pull list! There are some fun movies that are coming out soon, Spiderman-Across the Spiderverse, a Mean Girls Musical Movie, Joker 2 is starting filming, a live-action My Hero Accademia has been greenlit, and Adam Driver is going to be in 65 (which looks spooky in Sis’s opinion). Some new Movies are going out as well, Black Adam is on HBOMax, Avatar 2 is coming out v v soon, as is That 90’s show. Other news includes, TSwift directing a movie with Search Light Pictures not much else is known right now and production of Dune 2 has started. For bingeing, Big Pops has been enjoying the new Star Trek shows—Discovery Season 2 and Strange New World. He also has still been watching Ancient Apocalypse. Sis has finally finished her re-watch all the Harry Potter Movies and has been the new Netflix Docu-series Harry & Meghan. Then, Pops shares his pull list! This week he introduces us to Human Target Issue 9 by DC; Dark Web Issue 1 by Marvel; as well as Orcs: The Curse Issue 4 by Kaboom. His new number 1 is Frank Miller Present: Pandora. There are some fun movies that are coming out soon, the Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas Special on Disney+, Falling for Christmas starring Lindsay Lohan on Netflix, Knives Out 3 has been greenlit, SuperMario looks FUN, The Santa Clauses on Disney+ looks sweetie, and a new SpongeBob and Avatar the Last Airbender tv-show is on the way. Pops also mentioned the passing of Kevin Conroy, his fav batman, the new Wakanda Forever Movie being a lovely tribute, and some ideas about Captain America with Secret Invasion. For bingeing, Big Pops is watching the TV show The Chosen and Spy Family, he also has been enjoying movies lately specifically the Weird Al Story and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. We discuss out fav bits of nerd news: Paramount+ has announced that in season 3 of Picard, the OG cast from Next Gen will all be involved, The Acolyte, the new StarWars TV-show have cast some cool people, D23 Expo is this upcoming weekend and there’s talk the cast of the Fantastic Four will be released, DCFandome has been canceled, and Sept 3 was National Cinema Day. As for trailer news: Pops finally saw the trailer for the Woman King, the new Wednesday Adams Family TV-show trailer looks so stinking fun, and Netflix also released the first teaser for The Glass Onion. For bingeing, Big Pops watched Monty Python: Almost the Truth on Netflix ,and has been watching all of the LOTR movies, and is still really enjoying SheHulk. Gray Man, Crazy Rich Asians, Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, The Sandman TVshow on Netflix, Summer of Love. Sis is still watching Game of Thrones and is now onto Season 2; She’s also watching Gravity Falls and Death Note. We briefly talk about The Rings of Power, but no spoilers here. Then, Pops shares his pull list! This week he introduces us to Poison Ivy Issue 4 by DC; SheHulk Issue 4 by Marvel; as well as Twig Issue 5 by Image. We discuss out fav bits of nerd news: Walmart+ has added Paramount+ to their subscribers, Ezra Miller has sought mental health services, the first look photo for Wednesday the Tim Burton show on Netflix, there’s a Hunger Games Prequel in the works, Emily Blunt is joining the cast of Fall Guy along with Ryan Reynolds, Jim Henson’s studio is doing the puppets animatronics for the Five Nights at Freddie’s Movie, Lore Olympus on Webtoons finished Season 2, and DC has a lot of issues with their movies, but not a lot with their comics—they have a new one Pop’s likes on Webtoons called Red Hood and the Outlaws. Not a lot of movie trailer news this week: Sis shared about the Woman King As for bingeing, Big Pops watched The Gray Man, Crazy Rich Asians, Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, The Sandman TVshow on Netflix, Summer of Love. Sis watched all of the Twilight Movies (again), Mission Impossible 1 + 2, A Woodstock 99 Documentary on Netflix, Game of Thrones Season 1 (again), and has started watching Death Note. With San Diego Comic Con in full swing, there are a lot of upcoming movies/tv-shows that piqued our interest: Black Panther 2, Antman 3, Shazam 2, the new She Hulk trailer looks way better, A League of their Own TV-show, a Munsters Movie, and Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. As for bingeing, Big Pops watched Station 11 (again!) and watched Reacher for the first time. Sis is finally finally done with all of Stranger Things, and she watched the Hulu original movie The Princess. Then, Pops shares his pull list! This week he introduces us to Nightwing Issue 94 by DC; Iron Man Issue 21 by Marvel (which is a new story arc if you were looking for a good place to jump into collecting); as well as Wild Fire Issue 1 by Dark Spaces Impact, the Scott Snyder imprint at IDW. Some upcoming movies/tv-shows that peaked our interest are: Luck Movie on AppleTV; Carter, a Korean Action Film; Captain America 4, directed by Julius Onah; The Samaritan on Amazon Prime; and Day Shift on Netflix starring Snoop Dogg, Jamie Foxx, and Dave Franco. As for bingeing, Big Pops watched all of Silent Sea and just started re-watching Station 11. Sis is finally finished season 3 of Stranger Things and finished Sing 2 and watched Independence Day.
