Join Sis and Big Pops for a fun, fun talk about one of the things we love most—Nerd Stuff. We discuss out fav bits of nerd news over the past couple of months. There are some fun movies that are coming out soon, the Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas Special on Disney+, Falling for Christmas starring Lindsay Lohan on Netflix, Knives Out 3 has been greenlit, SuperMario looks FUN, The Santa Clauses on Disney+ looks sweetie, and a new SpongeBob and Avatar the Last Airbender tv-show is on the way. Pops also mentioned the passing of Kevin Conroy, his fav batman, the new Wakanda Forever Movie being a lovely tribute, and some ideas about Captain America with Secret Invasion. For bingeing, Big Pops is watching the TV show The Chosen and Spy Family, he also has been enjoying movies lately specifically the Weird Al Story and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Sis has started re-watching all the Harry Potter Movies and has been enjoying Ancient Apocalypse. Then, Pops shares his pull list! This week he introduces us to The New Golden Age a one-shot by DC; Sabertooth and the Exiles Issue 1 by Marvel; as well as The Ones Issue 1 by Dark Horse. His new number 1 is the Gospel by Image: The Throne in the Sky by Boom Studios. With his Book of the Week being Fantastic Four Issue 1 by Marvel. We discuss out fav bits of nerd news: Paramount+ has announced that in season 3 of Picard, the OG cast from Next Gen will all be involved, The Acolyte, the new StarWars TV-show have cast some cool people, D23 Expo is this upcoming weekend and there’s talk the cast of the Fantastic Four will be released, DCFandome has been canceled, and Sept 3 was National Cinema Day. As for trailer news: Pops finally saw the trailer for the Woman King, the new Wednesday Adams Family TV-show trailer looks so stinking fun, and Netflix also released the first teaser for The Glass Onion. For bingeing, Big Pops watched Monty Python: Almost the Truth on Netflix ,and has been watching all of the LOTR movies, and is still really enjoying SheHulk. Gray Man, Crazy Rich Asians, Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, The Sandman TVshow on Netflix, Summer of Love. Sis is still watching Game of Thrones and is now onto Season 2; She’s also watching Gravity Falls and Death Note. We briefly talk about The Rings of Power, but no spoilers here. Then, Pops shares his pull list! This week he introduces us to Poison Ivy Issue 4 by DC; SheHulk Issue 4 by Marvel; as well as Twig Issue 5 by Image. His new number 1 is the Wynd: The Throne in the Sky by Boom Studios. With his Book of the Week being Fantastic Four: Full Circle by Marvel with art by Alex Ross. Pops also tells us about HOOPLA, an app where you can use your library cards to borrow comic books! This week we reviewed the movie Predator and the new one in the saga, Prey both available on Hulu. We discuss out fav bits of nerd news: Walmart+ has added Paramount+ to their subscribers, Ezra Miller has sought mental health services, the first look photo for Wednesday the Tim Burton show on Netflix, there’s a Hunger Games Prequel in the works, Emily Blunt is joining the cast of Fall Guy along with Ryan Reynolds, Jim Henson’s studio is doing the puppets animatronics for the Five Nights at Freddie’s Movie, Lore Olympus on Webtoons finished Season 2, and DC has a lot of issues with their movies, but not a lot with their comics—they have a new one Pop’s likes on Webtoons called Red Hood and the Outlaws. Not a lot of movie trailer news this week: Sis shared about the Woman King As for bingeing, Big Pops watched The Gray Man, Crazy Rich Asians, Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, The Sandman TVshow on Netflix, Summer of Love. Sis watched all of the Twilight Movies (again), Mission Impossible 1 + 2, A Woodstock 99 Documentary on Netflix, Game of Thrones Season 1 (again), and has started watching Death Note. Then, Pops shares his pull list! This week he introduces us to Poison Ivy Issue 3 by DC; Moon Knight Issue 14 by Marvel; as well as The Dead Lucky Issue 1 by Image. We discuss out fav bits of nerd news: Dune 2 has started production and there is going to be a live action tv-show remake of Eragon on Disney+. With San Diego Comic Con in full swing, there are a lot of upcoming movies/tv-shows that piqued our interest: Black Panther 2, Antman 3, Shazam 2, the new She Hulk trailer looks way better, A League of their Own TV-show, a Munsters Movie, and Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. As for bingeing, Big Pops watched Station 11 (again!) and watched Reacher for the first time. Sis is finally finally done with all of Stranger Things, and she watched the Hulu original movie The Princess. Then, Pops shares his pull list! This week he introduces us to Nightwing Issue 94 by DC; Iron Man Issue 21 by Marvel (which is a new story arc if you were looking for a good place to jump into collecting); as well as Wild Fire Issue 1 by Dark Spaces Impact, the Scott Snyder imprint at IDW. His new number 1 s the first Alien Annual by Marvel. With his Book of the Week being Do a Power Bomb Issue 2 by Image. We discuss out fav bits of nerd news: Pops is enjoying a Zatara Webtoon, Boom studios is continuing the Eve comic he loved so well, returning this October; The Dragon Prince is on a monopoly box, and James Conn has passed away recently. Some upcoming movies/tv-shows that peaked our interest are: Luck Movie on AppleTV; Carter, a Korean Action Film; Captain America 4, directed by Julius Onah; The Samaritan on Amazon Prime; and Day Shift on Netflix starring Snoop Dogg, Jamie Foxx, and Dave Franco. As for bingeing, Big Pops watched all of Silent Sea and just started re-watching Station 11. Sis is finally finished season 3 of Stranger Things and finished Sing 2 and watched Independence Day. Then, Pops shares his pull list! This week he introduces us to Dark Crisis Issue 2 by DC; Avengers Forever Issue 7 by Marvel (which could be bought as a stand-alone if you’re interested); as well as Thing Issue 3 by Image. Some upcoming movies/tv-shows that piqued our interest are: Our Time show on Disney+, Hocus Pocus 2, and Firehouse the sequel to Ghostbusters: Afterlife. As for bingeing, Big Pops watched all of the Alien franchise on Hulu as well as Dodgeball. Sis is still watching Stranger Things, as Sing 2 and Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey. Then, Pops shares his pull list! Some upcoming movies/tv-shows that we are excited about are: Glass Onion, a Knives out Mystery; Black Atom; Persuasion on Netflix; Willow; and the new Pinocchio by Guillermo del Toro. As for bingeing, Big Pops started watching Night Sky on Amazon. Sis is still watching Stranger Things, as well as Forest Gump and The Amazing Superman. Then, Pops shares his pull list! We also discuss a lot of movies/TV-shows that are coming out soon: Deadpool 3 is being directed by the same guy that did Free Guy, Ted Lasso Season 3 is a go, and there is going to be another Puss in Boots movie. As for bingeing, Big Pops watched Dune, 2001Space Odessy, Green Lantern, and Bearvilla: The boogieman. Sis watched a new TV show called Final Space, and the new Movie Death on the Nile, but hated and stopped halfway through watching Citizen Kane. Then, Pops shares his pull list!
