Join Sis and Big Pops for a fun, fun talk about one of the things we love most—Nerd Stuff. We discuss our fav bits of nerd news over the past couple of weeks: Jamie Foxx is set to be Spawn in a new movie and Jamie Lee Curtis has put out on social media she would love to be cast in One Piece. There are also a couple of cool new video games coming out soon – a Bluey sandbox adventure game, and Tales of the Shire, a cozy Hobbit game. For bingeing, Big Pops has watched the flash movie, and is really enjoying the TV show Invasion. Sis is still listening to the audiobook, “Good to Great” and is enjoying watching Welcome to Wrexham, Elemental, and is (unfortunately) watching a lot of football. Then, Pops shares his pull list! This week he introduces us to Green Lantern: War Journal Issue 1 by DC; Amazing Spiderman Issue 34 by Marvel; as well as The Cull Issue 2 by Image. His new number 1 is Captain America (Legacy #761) by Marvel, with his Book of the Week being Issue 1 (Legacy #801) by DC. We discuss out fav bits of nerd news over the past couple of weeks: Spy Kids: Armageddon coming out on Sept 22, Batman 1989 getting a tour with a live orchestra, the trailer for the new sci-fi movie The Creator, and the “Legacy Set” being released from Disney, a 100 film set of animated movies. For bingeing, Big Pops has been watching the TV-show The Last of Us and Invasion. He also has been doing a lot of reading, he’s enjoying the comic book “Black Science” and the science fiction novel “Rendezvous with Rama.” Sis has watched Equalizer 1 and 2, Gravity Falls, Twilight, and You’ve Got Mail. She also has been listening to the audio book, “Good to Great.” Then, Pops shares his pull list! This week he introduces us to Batman/Catwoman, The Gotham War: Battle Lines Issue 1 by DC; The Immortal Thor Issue 1 by Marvel; as well as Local Man the Gold Issue by Image. His new number 1 is Black Hammer: The End by Dark Horse. With his Book of the Week as Issue 1 of Marvel unleased. This week we talked about all of the fun movies we watched over family vacation: The Pacifier, Sky High, The Day After Tomorrow, Finding Nemo, A Knights Tale, and Ender’s Game. Join Sis and Big Pops for a fun, fun talk about one of the things we love most—Nerd Stuff. We discuss out fav bits of nerd news over the past couple of weeks: so much media has been halted due to the strike, but A24 is back in production; we talk Five Nights at Freddys, Deadpool 3 having Cassandra Nova in it, Vanessa Kirby being cast as Sue Storm, and Lin Manuel Miranda starting a new musical of the movie Warriors, which Sis learns is nothing like West Side Story. There was also a fair bit of comic and gaming news this time – Post Malone bought a Magic Card for 2.6 million dollars and some interesting stuff about Hulk Hogan. For bingeing, Big Pops watched the Star Trek: Strange New World musical episode quite a few times and he finished Secret Invasion, which was not his favorite. Sis has been listening to a lot of audio books, like As You Wish: Inconceivable Tales from the Making of the Princess Bride and Living with Less, she also watched her husband play Ori and the Blind Forest, as well as rewatching Gravity Falls. Then, Pops shares his pull list! This week he introduces us to The Adventures of Superman: John Kent Issue 6 by DC; Doctor Strange Issue 6 by Marvel; as well as Firepower Issue 25 by Image. His new number 1 is The Sacrificers by Image. With his Book of the Week being DC Black Label oversize comic Superman: The Last Days of Lex Luthor. This week we reviewed the movie Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper. We also reviewed the DC comic Nightwing: Leaping into the Light, the trade is available for free with Amazon Prime. We discuss out fav bits of nerd news over the past couple of weeks: Liam Hemsworth is going to be the new Geralt on the Witcher, WE also talk the role AI is playing in the writers/actors strike, and Sis shares the movies she has watched—Barbie, Oppenheimer, the new Mission Impossible, and the Sound of Freedom. We also discussed some new movie news: Pops loved the One Piece trailer and the Strange New Worlds Musical Episode. There was also a fair bit of comic news this time – in the fall DC is releasing a comic run where it is Monsters vs. Justice league, there is a giant sized Hellboy comic coming out in October, and DC is making 2 new animated features, a Watchmen and a Crisis on Infinite Earths. For bingeing, Big Pops has been watching Star Trek: Strange New World, Secret invasion, and the Silo on Apple+. He did check out season 2 of The Foundation on Apple+ but really did not enjoy it, and eventually turned it off. . Sis has been watching Adventure Time, Doctor Who, Undercover Underage, and Way of Water. She also has been watching her husband play Skyward Sword. Then, Pops shares his pull list! This week he introduces us to Knight Terrors Issue 1 by DC; Scarlet Witch Issue 6 by Marvel; as well as Radiant Black Issue 25 by Image. His new number 1 is also an Image comic, gamed Big Game. With his Book of the Week being Ace Blade by Fourth Wall Productions, an independent, creator-owned comic. This week we reviewed the Disney Movie, John Carter, which we thought was drastically underrated when it came out in the late 2000s. We discuss out fav bits of nerd news over the past couple of weeks: Jennifer Gardner is going to be in Deadpool 3 as Electra, the clips from the Barbie movie featuring Ken are very funny, Big Pop’s finds out how much Forest Gump’s shares of Apple would be worth today, RDJ was seen on the set of Captain America-New World Order, and there is going to be a sequel to Passion of the Christ titled The Resurrection. We also discussed some new movie news: the new Dune-Part 2 trailer looks so cool, as does the movie Wonka, and Big Pop’s shares some cool news about a new Studio Ghibli film called “How Do You Live?” which does not have a trailer, or any press released with it. For bingeing, Big Pops has re-watched the Reacher TV show, and it enjoying My Adventures with Superman, and just started watching One Piece. He also is reading the comics Ice-cream Man and Swan Songs on Hoopla watching Ted Lasso, Star Trek Strange New worlds, and has been reading Birth Right the Comic. Sis has finally finished her audio book The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern (which she definitely recommends) and started listening to another called The Overstory by Richard Powers. She is still watching her guy play Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on switch and is enjoying Adventure Time. Then, Pops shares his pull list! This week he introduces us to Knight Terrors: Batman Issue 1 by DC; Spiderman Issue 10 by Marvel; as well as No One Issue 4 by Image. We also discussed some new movie news: Spin-offs from the Fast & Furious franchise, Toy Story 5, Kraven the Hunter, a TV show Armor wars cast Sam Rockwell, and Zoe 102. For bingeing, Big Pops has been watching Ted Lasso, Star Trek Strange New worlds, and has been reading Birth Right the Comic. Sis has been reading all of the Throne of Glass novels by Sarah J. Maas, watching her guy play Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on switch, and watched Indiana Jones 2, Over the Hedge, and is loving the audio book The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern on her commute. We discuss our fav bits of nerd news over the past couple of weeks: the Wonder Woman comic has been taken over by Tom King and now has a daughter named Trinity, Disney is closing their Star Wars Galactic Cruiser Hotel, and Pops couldn't make it through the DnD movie due to the peril of the daughter. We also discussed some new movie news: a live-action How To Train your Dragon is in the works, One Piece is going to be a live-action 10-ep show on Netflix, Secret Invasion with Nick Fury on Disney+, a new DnD streaming platform, and more news about the 60th Doctor Who Special featuring Tennant and Tate. For bingeing, Big Pops has been watching Mrs. Davis on Paramount+, Out there, Ted Lasso, and he has been re-reading Birth Right. Sis is still going strong watching Doctor Who and has really loved Jewish Matchmaking on Netflix. She also has been watching movies – Robin Hood: Men in Tights, and Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail. Then, Pops shares his pull list! This week he introduces us to Nightwing Issue 104 by DC; Fury Issue 1 by Marvel; as well as Barbaric- Hell to Pay Issue 4 by Vault. We discuss out fav bits of nerd news over the past couple of weeks: we learn a little bit more about the purpose of the Writer’s Strike, and how it is impacting film and TV production. We also discussed some new movie news: The Meg 2 is going to happen soon, Beetlejuice 2, Dune 2, a Kiss the Girl Featurette from The Little Mermaid, Mando Season 3 behind the scenes coming to Disney+, and the new Zelda game, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, is out! For bingeing, Big Pops has been watching season 2 of SweetTooth, and is steadily enjoying Ted Lasso. He’s still reading a lot of comics, and started a new show called Silo that he’s enjoying as well. Sis has still been watching Doctor Who and is getting ready to enter the Asylum of the Daleks and is still loving Clarkson’s farm. She has recently been enjoying watching people build houses in the Sims4 on YouTube as well as watching her husband play The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which the gameplay ROCKS. Then, Pops shares his pull list! This week he introduces us to Gotham Academy: Maps of Mystery, Featuring Batman Issue 1 by DC; Amazing Spiderman Issue 25 by Marvel; as well as Junk Yard Joe Issue 6 by Image. We discuss out fav bits of nerd news over the past couple of weeks: The writer strike happened and is ongoing, it’s rumored that Margo Robbie will be cast as Sue Storm in Fantastic 4, the OG Flash movie was originally slotted to be 4 hrs long, Free Comic book day was this past Saturday, and Cow Boy Bee Bop is coming out with an RPG for plans to play. We also talked about new movies that are going to come out eventually! Such as Peter W being in Deadpool 3, a Hunger Games prequel, a new rated R Christopher Nolan Robin Hood film, Dune Part 2, and Pedro Pascal in Gladiator 2. For bingeing, Big Pops has been reading a lot of comics. He is reading the 100 best graphic novels and has so far tackled Un-Natural (which he would not recommend kids to read) and From Hell. He also really enjoyed Ghosted on Apple+. Sis has been watching Doctor Who and is finally watching the Matt Smith and the Ponds seasons (her FAV episodes). She also is still watching Clarkson’s Farm and finally finished Dune (again). Then, Pops shares his pull list! This week he introduces us to Lazarus Planet: Revenge of the Gods Issue 4 by DC; Captain America: Symbol of Truth Issue 12 by Marvel; as well Local Man Issue 3 by image. Here is a new John Wick spin off movie Th ballerina slotted for June 2024, Arby’s made a dice set, one of our fav actors from the Expanse (Amos) is going to be in the StarWars tv-show the Acolyte, Pringles has made a Minecraft chip, DSTLRY is going to be a new digital platform for comics, and we’re a little worried about a writer’s strike that's posed for May 2023.We also reviewed a TON of movie trailers: The Little Mermaid, Fast X, Barbie, Spiderverse, Tolls, TMNT, the Marvels, and Muppets Mayhem.
For bingeing, Big Pops has been streaming on Twitch while he works on mosaics, check him out! He also has finally watched Champion, and is still loving The Mandolorian, Ted Lasso, and Picard. Sis has been watching Doctor Who (still) and is nearing the end of the Tennant episodes. She also is still watching Clarkson’s Farm, ad is watching Dune, LOTR, and caught Mario and D&D in the theatres. Then, Pops shares his pull list!
