Episode 25: The Invincible Fam, “Left,” and Other Joys of Extended Editions

Join Sis and Big Pops for a talk about pop culture news fun things happening in movies, tv-shows, and comic books. We discuss Cinema Week, which is coming June 22-27^th, R2D2 is getting a fancy new lego set, and Pop’s is STOKED for Captain America 4 and Modak. We discuss what we’re bingeing right now. Sis is watching Suits, started the second season of Greatest Warriors, and FINALLY watched Godzilla vs. Kong. Pop watched Mortal Kombat, thought it was a great action film, Nintendo Story: Playing with Power, and Life in Color. Pops shares his pull list, for the kiddos he recommends Orcs by KaBOOM and Jonna and the Unpossible Monsters. He didn't get the newest Batman Fortnite book or The Way of X and is a little disappointed. He is enjoying Nightwing the most, he would consider that to be his book of the week, and also has liked grabbing Spiderman, I walk with Monsters, Justice Leauge, Batman the Detective, and The joker Issue 2. We reviewed the extended edition of LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring, which is a sweet, sweet memory for Sis and Big Pops. We also reviewed the first trade paperback of the Image Comic Invincible, which is free to read online for all with Amazon Prime. Listen in for some Family-friendly nerd fun! Episode 24: Zombies, Thunda, and Jingles Galore

Join Sis and Big Pops for a talk about pop culture news fun things happening in movies, tv-shows, and comic books. We discuss Alfred Molina in the new Spiderman, the new LOTR TV-show, The Meg 2, and Fast and Furious 9. We discuss what we’re bingeing right now, Sis is still really enjoying Suits, and Big Pops watched The Fifth Element and Young Frankenstein with the lovely creator of our cover art, Nate the Great. Pops shares his pull list, there are a few comics that have ended runs that he thinks will make grade trade paperbacks – 7 Secrets and Homesick Pilots – he also really enjoyed the end of Thor and Usagi Yojimbo. He is still enjoying collecting Batman, Daredevil, Avengers, and Green Lantern—great stories abound in DC and Marvel this week. He specifically suggested we read Home by Image Comics, it’s a hard read, but important. We reviewed the new film Thunder Force, which we decided was funny (somtimes) and not really anything we would enjoy listening to again.We also reviewed the first six comics in DCEASED, which brought up some wild super hero zombie shenanigans. Episode 23: Sad(ish) Comics, Pop’s popcorn recipe, and Diggin’ up them Holes

Join Sis and Big Pops for a talk about pop culture news fun things happening in movies, tv-shows, and comic books. We discuss the new Loki trailer, Knives Out 2, and PowerRangers. Pops shares his pull list, he recommends that we all should read the Other History of the DC Universe, Avengers, Batman + Superman, and Teen Titans Academy.  He is loving collecting the new Beta Ray Bill comic and Magic by Boom Studios, as well as The Silver Coin and Geiger (both by Image Comics and both for grown ups only). We discuss what we’re bingeing right now, Sis watched season 1 of Bravest Warriors and is really enjoying Suits, and Big Pops has been watching Justice League Dark and The Chosen. We reviewed book one of The Saga of the Swamp Thing, which was wayyyy sadder than Sis was anticipating. We also talk about Holes the movie, and go into what we still love about this old fav. We discuss the casting for Disenchanted, the actual release date for Black Widow, and the grown-up trailer for Suicide Squad 2. Pops shares his pull list, he is really enjoying Alien No 1, Post Americana by Image Comics, and Justice League Infinite Frontier. We talk about Carnage Black, White, and Blood, but Big Pop’s said he will not be collecting it anymore. We discuss what we’re bingeing right now, Sis got caught up on Wyrm Lyfe, a youtube show, and Big Pops has been watching Justice League Unlimited. We reviewed Dragon Hoops by Gene Luen Yang, an excellent graphic novel following a high school basketball team. Episode 21: Boom Studios and Image Comics, Flying Squirrels, and Loving the Backstory

We discuss the new Power Puff Girls casting, the release date of Black Widow, and Disney land. Pops shares his pull list, he is still enjoying the run of Thor and  Strange Academy.  He’s also enjoying Batman/Catwoman, Non-Stop Spiderman, and Nightwing. This favs right now are from Image and Boom Studios—BRZRKR, The Bequest, Jonna and the Unpossible Monsters, and Ultra Mega—are some of his go-tos right now. What we’re bingeing right now, Sis hasn't really been watching anything, except for all of the LOTR movies on repeat, and Big Pops has been watching Stargirl on the CW. This week we didn't read any comics, but Pop’s shares a spoiler-free review of the Snyder Cut Justice League and the first episode of Falcon and the Winter Solider.
